Update your Authentication method

The first time you log into SafeScript, you must set up your preferred multi-factor authentication method. Once it is set up, you can set up alternative authentication methods using the Microsoft MyApps portal.

If you have lost access to your preferred authentication method, please contact SafeScript technical support.

  1. First, log into SafeScript. For details, see Log In and Set a Quick-Access PIN.
  2. Go to https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/

    The Microsoft MyApps portal is displayed.

  3. Select the user menu (top right), then select Profile.

    The Profile screen is displayed.

  4. Select sign in to leave organisation.

    The Apps screen is displayed.

  5. Select the user menu (top right), then select Profile again.

    The Profile screen is displayed.

  6. Select Additional security verification.

    You are prompted to approve the request using your existing verification method. Follow the instructions to approve the request.

  7. Follow the instructions to add one or more of the following additional security verification methods:
    • Authentication app (notification or verification code)
    • Authentication phone (SMS or voice call)
    • Alternate authentication phone (SMS or voice call)
  8. Under what's your preferred option?, select the authentication method you want to use by default.
  9. To save your changes, select Save.

    Now, when you log into SafeScript:

    • By default, your preferred authentication method will be used.
    • If required, you will be able to select one of your alternative authentication methods, by selecting Sign in another way from the authentication screen.
